Two listings in SK's phone book for POJTEKOVA (female). www.zoznamst.sk No one with that surname came thru Ellis Island,no one in SSDI index so that does not help much. The surname could have evolved from other spelling. 	b nemeth The Pojtek name is very rare and im surprised that i found the name at all. This is a very Hungarian name. Clara and Joeseph Pojtek imigrated to Canada namely to Kipling Saskatchewan and helped to form a church called Bekevar and are buried in the cemetary there. Andre Pojet Married Helen Mate. 	Marcus: Re: coat of arms I have seen a coat of Arms for Pojtek, there is an image of a arm holding a sword and a water bird standing on the Bible. The colour is light blue and it is a mirror image so it is the same on both sides. The coat of arms is Polish and the name Pojtek is originally from southern Poland. The Pojtek name is ancient and goes back over a thousand years. The information I'm looking for is more recent though. Do you know if Joseph Pojtek had any siblings? My grandfathers name was Rudolf Pojtek Born 1901, in Stepanova Slovakia. I'm looking for information about his father my great grandfather Stefan Pojtek. The oldest information I have found on the pojtek family is Julianna Pojtek baptizing her daughter in Hungary 1855. I think that Julianna Pojtek might be the older sister of Joseph and Stefan Pojtek.
