| fpollak: Re: Pollak in Baja and Subotica | Dear Mila,
I am sorry to tell you that Sidonia did not survive the Shoa. Here is the information I found on The Central Database of Shoah Victims' Names:
Dr. Sidi Littman nee Pollak was born in Baja in 1895 to Geza and Thereza. She was a physician. Prior to WWII she lived in Subotica, Yugoslavia. During the war she was in Sabac, Yugoslavia. Dr. Littman perished in 1943 in the Shoah at the age of 48. This information is based on a Page of Testimony submitted on 19-Jul-1999 by her nephew, a Shoah survivor.
Another testimony, slightly different, gives further information about her mother's name:
Sidonia Littman nee Pollak was born in Baja in 1896 to Geza and Tereza nee Fleischman. She was a medical doctor and married to Karlo. Prior to WWII she lived in Sabac, Yugoslavia. Sidonia perished in 1943 in Yugoslavia at the age of 45. This information is based on a Page of Testimony submitted on 23-Apr-1999 by her nephew, a Shoah survivor.
Unfortunately her husband did not survive either:
Karlo Littman was born in Subotica. Prior to WWII he lived in Subotica, Yugoslavia. Karlo perished in 1945 in Auschwitz, Camp. This information is based on a Page of Testimony submitted by his uncle, a Shoah survivor.
Another testimony gives further information:
Karlo Litman was born in Subotica in 1891 to Avigdor and Terez. He was a clerk and married to Sidonia. Prior to WWII he lived in Subotica, Yugoslavia. During the war he was in Subotica, Yugoslavia. Karlo perished in 1943 in Auschwitz, Camp at the age of 52. This information is based on a Page of Testimony submitted by his son.
