Looking for more information on Anton Quaiser and family. Arrived at Ellis Island in April of 1901 with son Georg and his wife Margaretha arrived in October of 1901 with son Anton, dautr Katharina (married Solman) & her husband Johann, dautr Maria, son Johann. They lived in Panscova/Pancscova/Pancova/Viov according to the ship manifest. His sister in law was in the US prior to his arrival assuming her last name is Brem (cannot read handwriting). Hoping to find that the Brem family is also from the same place and get a confirmation on the spelling of Brem. Thanks for any help!! -Lisa

The town of Pancsova, Torontal megye, Hungary is now Pancevo, Srbija (Yugoslavia).
The old 1910 megye map is at :
http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/maps/1910
The LDS-Mormons website is listing church records of Pancevo. You might want to order them and gather ancestral information. Check out this website:
www.genealogienetz.de/reg/ESE/dsinfo.htm
Use a One Step/Gray form www.stevemorse.org to locate people by surname, date, or specific town. There were 498 people from Pancsova, 25 from Pancova, 6 from Panceva, 2 from Pantschovo. The name of the sister-in-law looks like Kattie Brem in Mansfield, Oh

Lisa Steenburg: Re: Quaiser
I did locate a phone listing for a Catherine G Brumm in Mansfield Ohio in 1920. Married to John Brumm and son John Brumm Jr. Other people at the residence of 126 Flint Street also listed as Jeannette, Barbara and Elizabeth. I did find Barbara on one of the ship's manifests from 1907. She is from Franzfeld and came over with Mary (Maria) Brumm. Mary is Gottfried's wife but they do not live in the same house as John. There is a possibility that this isn't the same Barbara as there are 2 listings. One on Flint and one on Distl. No other listings prior to 1920 for this name.

Thanks

Seems that there were BRUMMs, BRUMs and BREMs that came thru Ellis Island. The church records should have the correct spelling of the surname. The town of Franzfeld is now Kacarevo, Serbia and about 10 km from Pancevo. In those old days our ancestors married within same region, religion, with few exceptions but for sure same language. If they married in "old country" than the villages would be about 10 miles radius of each other.

Great! Thank you!! When you mention church records, you mean the ones located in Kacarevo or Pancevo, correct? Thank you again for being so helpful, I appreciate it immensely!
