	markvaradi: schlussler Hi All, My name is Mark Varadi from Budapest (Hungary). I suppose we are relatives. My great-grandmother was Schlüssler Szidónia (Sydonia Schlussler) (1895 – 1970). She lived in Köpösd (village in Hungary) for a while and then moved to Budapest. Her children are Lili, Alíz, László and Ernõ(Ernst Weil). Their surname is Weil. Ernõ is my grandfother. What I know we have relatives in New Zeeland and USA too. They visited us in Budapest (my family) in the 60s and 70s. I have photos too. The USA line is Ernst Schlüssler, he had a wife Betty, their daughter is Sherry Schlüssler. The New Zeeland line also visited us in the 60s/70s. My father’s name is Gabor. According to the photos (what I can send you if you wish) he met Ernst Schlüssler, Betty, and maybe on a photo there is Livia and her husband. 	tkuperus: Re: schlussler If there is a relation, it would be back further than that. My Great great grandfather is as far back as we have been able to trace. He was August C Schlussler born on March 18th 1839 in Berln, Germany. He immagrated to the US in 1875. I would love it if you would email me pictures though. My Aunt and Uncle have been making a family tree book, and have hit a dead end. 	markvaradi: Re: schlussler Hello, I am sending the photos but on these photos there are the New Zeeland relatives ( It must be Christine’s line who wrote to this forum first) and the USA relatives (It must be Christina who wrote to this forum secondly). Have you ever talked to them about the relationship? Where do you live? What is MN? Maybe is it Minnesota in the USA? You wrote August C Schlussler immagrated to the US in 1875. So do you mean you have been living in the USA since then? If yes we should start tracing from him. Did he ever tell anything abou his family? Maybe did he have a brother or sister? Concerning the ages: Mark Varadi (born in 1982) me Gabor Varadi (born in 1948) my father Ernõ Weil (1917-1973) my grandfather Sydonia Schlüssler (1895-1970) my great grandmother Sydonia’ father might be the same generation as Philip and Wanda Schlussler. Sydonia’s grandfather might be the same generation as August C Schlussler. They might have been brother and sister or just cousins. Dou you have any furher information about August C Schlussler? 	tkuperus: Re: schlussler Yes I live in Minnesota, USA. August Schlussler was born in Berlin, Germany and we have been unable to trace the different places he lived. We do know that he moved to the US in 1875. He is my great great grandfather and died years before I was born. We are unsure if he had any brothers or sisters. I know nothing about the rest of his family, my family was really closed mouthed about other family, it took my aunt and uncle years to trace things this far back. I was personally born in 1977 My father Bruce Schlussler was born in 1945 Philip Schlussler my grandfather was born in 1910 Albert Adolf Schlussler was born in 1870 August C Schlussler was born in 1839 Sydonia may have been one of his nieces or second cousins. I am unsure though because we have been unable to trace further than August. I feel that it is possible that either Sydonias father or grandfather was somehow related. There should be birth records somewhere on Sydonia, that may be a good place to begin. 	Glenda: Re: schlussler Hello, I am curious about the Schlussler family tree. I am a descendant from Franz Carl Ferdinand born around 1836 (his father was Ferdinand Schlussler). Franz Carl emigrated to Australia on the Suzanne Godefroy 17-01-1864 when he was 27 years old. He is the only one to have come to Australia in those times from what I can establish. I have spoken recently to a male Schlussler who is in Australia now and comes from Berlin Germany/Poland area. He is the last male of his line. It is nice to see still a few Schlussler's are still around. The family tree to map it all out would be fantastic. 	tkuperus: Re: Minnesota Schlusslers We are related then. Philip was my grandfather and Wanda my grandmother. Both are deceased. Wanda died Jan 19 1998.
