	csirback: Information on Szirbek family Hello, I am trying to find any information on the Szirbek family. My great-grandparents emigrated from Budapest, Hungary in the early 1900s. My great-grandfather's birthplace was Veszprém(?). Any information that could be given would be greatly appreciated... You may need to find the right town if not sure of the city, than from LDS/FHL microfilmed church records you can get the family records: FamilySearch.org - Family History Library Catalog http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp "Searching Ellis Island Database in One Step" lists 22 Szirbek arrivals, most of them from towns in Veszprem County: http://www.jewishgen.org/databases/EIDB/ellis.html Fill in the last name only to get all 22 names, than click on "search(new format)".
