	Dan Uza: Looking for relatives Hello! I am living in Cluj-Napoca, Romania (Kolozsvar). My great-grandfather moved from Egrespatak(Zillah) to Olah-Szent-Gyorgy. I am looking for any remaining members of the Uza family in order to establish my ancestory and family tree. I am also looking for the link to other possible relatives in Uza-Panyit, a village in the former Hungarian Gomor-Kishont Megye. I'm Peter Uza, cousin of Márton, the brother of Orsolya. :) In Cluj I saw Dan Uza in the cemetery Házsongárd (sorry, I don!t know the name in Rumanian), I made some photos. That was in 2001. In that year I tried to write you an e-mail, which I found on your site, but unfortunately I could not manage to contact you. As I studied some elder historical books, I found out that there is the village called Uzovska Panica (Uza-Panyit). I went there in 2002 and I had the rough idea - although it was Saturday - to go to the local authorities to "recompense" :) the village, but for some reasons I did not dare to step out the car... Did you know that there is an Uza Pál on the historical tree of the Martinovics-revolution (1794). And Peter the son of Uza got some territory of king Bela the 4th in the 13. century (Island Csepel, Island "Nyulak szigete" - now Margitsziget in Budapest - and some parts of Óbuda - nowadays also part of Budapest). 	Dan Uza: Re: Family Tree Hello! I was sad because I lost contact with your sister and branch of the family. Glad it's been now re-established. Yes, the cemetery you visited in early 2000 is called Hajongard in Romanian. You probably noticed my father's grave - a high black marmor obelisc, his name was Dan Alexandru Uza. My father's parents are also burried there, next to his grave. They are the only Uza in Romania so far I know. I'm planing to visit Egrespatak and Szilagyballa in Salaj near Zilah in the middle of April. There might be some clues in the local graveyards or authorities. I am also aware of Uza Pal who was convicted to death and later on pardoned, i found some info about him and got it translated by a neighbour :) He was supposed to own some land in Almosd, somewhere in Hungary i think. I will mail the short biography to you if you want, but don't have it with me right now. Most intriguing i have found some information linking the Uzas with Modach Imre, a family tree i could not translate. I will mail it to you as soon as i can. 	Brenda Maee: family name Searching for family tree members. My great grandfather came to US in early l900s, dob l888 ( /-). I have birth certificat records with name of Polyesco. For years I have not been able to find this family name. Can anyone recognize this name, is the spelling incorrect. Family from Hungary, immigrated to Bridgeport Ct. Grandfather's mother's maiden name; Kerely, Kierely, grandfather changed name to King. I think that Kerely means "King??" Dédnagymamám, Uza Rebeka 1890-ben született Aranyosgyéresen az egyik hozzászólásban említett Uza György és Deák Mária 6. leánygyermekeként. (Tehát Uza Anna a dédim nővére volt.) A testvérek közül hárman Erdélyben maradtak, hárman a mai Magyarországra kerültek. 	keditke63: Uza Sajnos én nem tudok angolul >( Remélem mégis megértjük egymást. Egrespataki származású vagyok. Ismertem egy Uza Bálint nevezetű férfit és feleségét. ... Baptisták voltak, nem volt gyerekük. Fogalmam nincs honnan származtak, de nem egrespatakiak voltak, ott éltek, ott öregedtek meg, talán ott is haltak meg. Köztiszteletben álló emberek volak, gyerekként is igy éltem meg. A házuk a baptista imaház mellett volt, kicsi, igénytelen parasztház, s az imaház épületével egy udvaron volt. Talán egy telken épült az imaház, s az a parsztház, amiben laktak valamiféle szolgálati lakás lehetett. Ezt látszik igazolni az is, hogy ma ott, azon a telken egy új épitmény áll: a nemrég épitett baptista imaház, amely tágas, igényes, az egrespataki baptista közösség minden igényének megfelelő! Sokszor azon gondolkodom, hogy Uza bácsi adta-e a telket a baptista gyülekezetnek adományképpen vagy forditva: ő adományozta a házát, telkét a baptista gyülekezetnek.... Gyerekeik nem voltak, s Uza bácsi amolyan szellemi vezetője volt a baptista közösségnek, felesége pedig méltó párja....
