	bzelei: Re: Zelei surname My grandparents (Zelei) emigrated to the United States in 1922 by way of Ellis Island. They came from a town in Hungary called Mvzokovesd (spelling may not be quite right) I have no information about their life in Hungary before they came to the United States, any help would be appreciated. You can order the films and gather ancestral information. www.bmi.net/jjaso to familiarize yourself with church wording. I collected from Ellis Island database the persons called Zelei, who emigrated from Mezokovesd, Negyes, Poroszlo between 1903-1924. Your e-mail addres isn't public (not added) therefore write me. I have a record of a Jozsef Zelei who came to America in 1914 to live in a town that is very close to where I live now. I've spoken with my father(József Zelei 80 years), his grandfather could be Mihály Zelei(who imigrated to America in 1914) If my knowlwdge is right the emigrant Mihály Zelei travelled to America with his brother József.Later József come back to Hungary. If I am right,Mihály Zelei lived in the first times in Ohio. There is an other thing, that I have heard from my father, that Mihály Zelei was a very good accordion player. 	bzelei: Re: Zelei surname Hi Zsolt, The only information I know about Terezia Zelei is this: she lived in Mazokowisa Hungary then left and came to America with her mother Josefini on August 18,1913. She was still just a baby when she came to America, only 11 months old. I don't know anything about her when she was older. I hope this helps you. There are 15 Zelei family members out here and we are related to about 30 Zelei family members in Ohio. We are trying to continue to locate our ancesters in hungary as well.
