Thank you Zlatica.

I was having a lot of trouble with this surname in particular. Could help me determine it's origin? Due to the proximity of Goncz to Slovakia, I believe it to from there but I have a family account that it originated from a more eastern Slavic country like Russia or the Ukraine.

Do you have any ideas?

The spelling looks either Hungarian or Polish.
SKY (Slovak ending) would suggests that the surname originates from a village by that name ZSUPSZAN, if there is or was such.
In Poland, the closes, ZUPAN'SKI, ZUPCZYN'SKI, ZUPIN'SKI, Z'UPIN'SKI, and Z'UPRAN'SKI.
